My approach

My Approach

As a registered psychologist with over 25 years of professional experience, I use evidence-based psychological therapies and approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, to help you manage difficult thoughts and feelings, to develop insight and self-understanding, and to connect with what is important to you so that you can move towards a meaningful and enriching life.

You will find me to be a compassionate listener with a good sense of humour. I have a lot of experience, both professionally and in life in general, which I will bring to our conversations. While I love a good philosophical and aspirational chat, I am also pragmatic and down-to-earth and can offer lots of strategies and tools to help you in a practical way.

I "celebrated" my 50th birthday in 2025, and I have two adolescent sons who keep me on my toes (and sometimes drive me a bit crazy!). I have been through a phase where I was in denial about perimenopause and menopause, but I now embrace it fully and am on a mission to empower all women to love this part of their lives!

Menopause, like all times of transition, is a time between stories, when the old story fades and a new story is waiting to emerge. Its invitations are manifold. It’s a liminal time, when we hover on the brink of profound transformation.
